Nearly nine months later, Jeremiah Dominguez once again found himself unable to sleep.

This time, though, Portland State's standout guard wasn't scared or nervous. He was just too excited following the Vikings' 77-70 upset at No. 7 Gonzaga on Tuesday night.

In late March, Dominguez lay awake in a tiny, urine-smelling jail cell in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with former teammate Scott Morrison wondering when and if they'd be allowed to go back to Oregon.

The pair had just finished a magical season in which the Vikings won a school-record 23 games and made their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance.
