Skeete, Wigginton lead Buffalo past North Carolina A&T 86-68

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) Jarryn Skeete made a career-high six 3-pointers and Buffalo beat North Carolina A&T 86-68 in a Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic game on Saturday night.

Rodell Wigginton scored 13 of his 19 points in the first half, matched a career-high with 11 rebounds, and had a career-best five assists for Buffalo (2-2). Lamonte Bearden added 16 points and four assists. Skeete finished with 18 points.

Ede Egharevba, Bruce Beckford, and Ahmad Abdullah scored 12 points apiece to lead North Carolina A&T (0-4).

The Bulls led 35-27 at halftime, and used a 26-9 run to stretch its lead to 61-38 with 10:35 left. Skeete made five of his six 3-pointers during the span. The Aggies pulled to 78-64 with three minutes left.

The Bulls will play Vermont in the Springfield bracket championship game on Sunday.
