Corey Wickware scored 23 points and Kevin Stineman added 14 to lead SIU-Edwardsville to a 78-71 victory over Longwood at the Las Vegas Classic on Wednesday.
Wickware finished 6 of 9 from 3-point range, Cody Rincker scored 12 points and Nikola Bundalo had 10 for the Cougars (3-11).
Antwan Carter scored 24 points to lead the Lancers (3-11), who have lost nine straight. Jeremiah Bowman added 16 points and nine rebounds, and Jan van der Kooij finished with 10 rebounds.
Following 17 lead changes, SIU-Edwardsville pulled ahead 49-48 on Bundalo's basket with 15:52 left to play and didn't trail again.

The Cougars shot 54.2 percent from the field, hit 11-of-16 3-pointers and limited Longwood to 36.9 percent shooting.
