Singleton, Maine beat Albany (N.Y.) 66-64

Raheem Singleton knocked down two free throws with 3.6 seconds remaining to give Maine a 66-64 victory over Albany (N.Y.) on Wednesday night.

The Black Bears (9-7, 3-1 American East Conference) trailed 64-62 with 39 seconds left on the clock before two free throws from Gerald McLemore tied the score at 64.

After a missed shot by Albany (8-11, 1-3), Singleton was tripped on his way to the basket and nailed both free-throw attempts before the Great Danes' desperation heave hit off the rim.

McLemore led Maine with 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. Troy Barnies added 18 points and Singleton finished with 10 assists.

The Great Danes led 32-30 at halftime, but Maine finished 15 of 20 from the free-throw line (75 percent), compared to 6 of 8 for Albany.

Mike Black scored 18 points, Tim Ambrose added 12 and Luke Devlin 10 for Albany.
