O.D. Anosike scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help Siena beat Rider 83-79 Thursday night.

Evan Hymes had 20 points, Kyle Downey 11 and Brandon Walters 14 points and 12 rebounds for Siena.

The Saints (8-8, 3-3 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) led 14-10 before Junior Fortunat's layup drew Rider within two, 14-12. But Anosike made two free throws on Siena's next possession, sparking an 11-2 run to help the Saints take a 25-14 lead with 10:40 left in the first half.

Anosike scored 15 of his points in the first half, when the Saints forced 10 Rider turnovers and took 10 more shots than the Broncs.


The Saints took a 47-33 lead into halftime and expanded their lead to 20, 59-39, five minutes into the second half.

Rider fought back but fell just short of completing the comeback.

Jeff Jones led Rider (6-12, 3-3) with 17 points.
