Seton Hall guard Jeremy Hazell has had surgery to repair a broken bone in his left wrist.
Coach Kevin Willard says the senior had the operation on his broken scaphoid bone Thursday to minimize any long-term damage and to hasten his recovery time.
The surgery was performed at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York by Dr. Scott Wolfe.
Hazell was hurt in a fall in Seton Hall's victory over Alabama in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam on Nov. 19. He scored a game-high 27 points in that game and had averaged 24.0 points for first three games of the season.
''Now that the surgery has been performed, we're looking forward to Jeremy having a full recovery,'' Willard said. ''Our first and foremost priority is his long-term outlook, but obviously we'll be happy to have him back on the court as soon as possible.''
