Seattle beats Idaho in closing seconds, 68-67

MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) Emmanuel Chibuogwu scored five points in the final 9 seconds to lift Seattle past Idaho 68-67 on Saturday night.

Idaho had its largest lead, 49-33 with 14:43 remaining before Chibuogwu's 3-pointer capped a 19-2 run to give Seattle a 52-51 lead with 9:30 remaining. Idaho regained the lead when Connor Hill hit a trey and Stephen Madison added a jumper to give Idaho a 67-63 lead with 14 seconds to play.

Chibuogwu hit a 3-pointer to pull Seattle within one point with 9 seconds left. The Vandals then committed a five-second violation on the inbounds, setting up Chibuogwu's game-winning layup with 6 second left. D'Vonne Pickett forced another turnover with 2 seconds to go to seal the win for Seattle.

Jarell Flora scored 16 points and Pickett added 15 to lead Seattle (10-10, 2-5 Western Athletic Conference).

Madison scored 27 points for Idaho (8-14, 2-6).
