SE Missouri 83, SIU-Edwardsville 63

Marland Smith scored 27 points, leading five Southeast Missouri players in double figures, and the Redhawks easily defeated Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 83-63 Monday night.

Leon Powell had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Southeast Missouri (7-17). Lucas Nutt scored 14 points, Cameron Butler 11 and Anthony Allison 10 as the five Redhawk starters scored all but six of the team's points. Southeast Missouri shot 57 percent from the field.

Cornelius Chatt led the Cougars (6-19) with 14 points. Nikola Bundalo and Michael Messer each scored 11 points and Kevin Stineman added 10 for Edwardsville, which made 40 percent of its shots from outside.

The game was originally scheduled for last Tuesday, but a severe winter storm in the Midwest forced the postponement.
