SE Louisiana beats Northwestern State 84-82

HAMMOND, La. (AP) Jordan Capps had 29 points and 19 rebounds - both career highs - and Southeastern Louisiana beat Northwestern State 84-82 on Monday night for the Lions' seventh straight home victory.

Devonte Hall hit a 3-pointer with 7.3 seconds left to pull Northwestern State to 83-82. Zay Jackson made 1 of 2 free throws with 5.6 seconds left for a two-point lead and Sabri Thompson missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Capps had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds at the 16:11 mark of the second half as SE Louisiana held a 42-37 lead.

JaMichael Hawkins made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for SE Louisiana (10-19, 8-8 Southland). Jackson added 10 points with seven assists.

Zeek Woodley led Northwestern State (8-18, 5-11) with 21 points and seven rebounds. Hall added 20 points with seven assists.
