Marc Trasolini scored 22 points and Kevin Foster added 18 to break Santa Clara's single-season scoring record in a 76-68 victory Saturday night over Loyola Marymount in the West Coast Conference tournament quarterfinals.
Santa Clara (19-13), the fourth seed, will face No. 1 seed Saint Mary's in a semifinal on Sunday.
Freshman Anthony Ireland led Loyola Marymount with a career-high 24 points.
The Lions blew any hopes they had of pulling off a second consecutive upset by making only 14 of 29 free throws. Santa Clara made nine more, hitting 23 of 29, for the win.
