Manila, Philippines - The San Beda Red Lions completed a historic 18-game sweep, dethroning the San Sebastian Stags 80-75 at the 86th NCAA men's basketball finals on Friday. Garvo Lanete and season MVP Sudan Daniels led the Red Lions' charge which was a doubly sweet as their junior counterparts, the San Beda Red Cubs, likewise copped the junior's crown over the SSC Staglets, 95-84.Lanete made 14 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and issued 3 assists. Daniels led the Lions with 24 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks. He was adjudged the Finals MVP as well. Coach Frankie Lim of San Beda was later on named as the NCAA Coachof the Year.
