Samford 90, Spring Hill 64
Drew Windler scored a career-high 23 points and Samford posted its highest point total of the season in a 90-64 rout of Spring Hill on Saturday.
Windler hit 7 of 8 field goals and 7 of 9 foul shots for the Bulldogs (3-6), who set their previous high on Dec. 10 in an 82-56 win over Lindsey Wilson.
Samford, which has won two straight after a three-game skid, will face No. 3 Kentucky on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs led 40-24 at halftime and took their largest lead at 80-46 while shooting 51.7 percent from the field (30 of 58). Will Cook added 14 points and Tyler Hood 12.
The NAIA Badgers shot 34.3 percent (23 of 67). Led by Todd Martin with 16 points, Spring Hill counted the game as an exhibition.
Samford, which came in averaging 10.6 3-pointers a game, made 11 of 24 from beyond the arc.
