Drew Windler scored 15 points and Jeffrey Merritt recorded a double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) en route to an 82-56 win over Lindsey Wilson of the NAIA on Saturday, snapping a 5-game home losing streak.

Samford (2-6), who is averaging 10 3-point field goals per game, knocked down 11 3-pointers in the win. The Bulldogs shot 52.4 percent (11 of 21) from deep and 59.6 percent (34 of 57) from the field.

Lindsey Wilson (7-4) tied the game 23-23 behind a layup by Justin Archie with 6:43 left in the first half. But Windler's layup on Samford's next possession sparked a 15-2 run that gave the Bulldogs a 38-25 lead at halftime.

Windler scored four points and Jeffrey Merritt knocked down two 3-pointers during the run.

Lindsey Wilson shot poorly, hitting only 34.4 percent (20 of 55) from the field and 26.3 percent (5 of 19) from 3-point range.
