Southern Illinois center Nick Evans has left the team for what the school says are personal reasons.

The 6-foot-11 redshirt sophomore had been suspended indefinitely for violating unspecified team rules. He didn't travel with the team last Saturday to Northern Iowa, a game the Salukis lost.

Evans also was suspended for a game this season after being ejected at Creighton for a flagrant foul.

He started the first 15 games of the season and averaged five points and three rebounds in 21 games this season for the Salukis (13-10, 5-8 Missouri Valley).
