Mamadou Seck hit a layup with 1 second left Saturday to lift Southern Illinois to a 61-60 victory over Wisconsin-Green Bay in a BracketBusters game.
Seck grabbed a rebound off a missed free throw by Green Bay's Alec Brown with 8 seconds remaining, then scored the game-winner on the other end for the Salukis (12-16), who won for only the second time in their last nine games.
Carlton Fay led Southern Illinois with 14 points. Seck added 11 points and nine rebounds, and Justin Bocot had 10 points.
Rahmon Fletcher had 22 points for Green Bay (12-16), moving him past Richard Sims into sixth place on the Phoenix's all-time scoring list with 1,633 points. Jarvis Williams added 11 points and Brown had 10 for Green Bay, which lost for the fifth straight time.
The Phoenix had taken a 60-59 lead on Bryquis Perine's basket with 23 seconds remaining.
