Chad White scored a career-high 24 points Saturday night and South Dakota State made 13 of its 21 3-point attempts in routing Eastern Illinois 84-58.
Griffan Callahan scored 16 points and Nate Wolters and Clint Sargent 12 each as the Jackrabbits (5-0) beat the Panthers (2-4) for the second time this season, having won 67-55 in Charleston, Ill.
Tyler Laser's 12 points led Eastern Illinois, whose two-game winning streak ended. James Hollowell and Curry McKinney added 11 apiece.
South Dakota State entered the game hitting 46.2 percent from 3-point range and did even better Saturday at 61.9 percent. White led the charge, sinking 5 of 7. Sargent's 12 points all came on 3-pointers, and Callahan made three.
The Jackrabbits led 41-31 at the break. Wolters' 3-pointer made it 55-35 with 15:57 left, and the lead passed 30 when Tony Fiegen's basket made it 70-39 with 11:59 to play.
