Oregon State basketball coach Craig Robinson has agreed in principle to a two-year contract extension.

School officials said Tuesday the agreement will keep Robinson with the Beavers through the 2015-16 season.

As the brother-in-law of President Barack Obama, Robinson has brought some national attention to Corvallis as he works to turn around a basketball program that was struggling near the bottom of the Pac-10.

His 31 wins since taking the Oregon State job in 2008 are the most for the Beavers over two years since the 1989-91 seasons.
