Richmond 80, Old Dominion 53
Cedrick Lindsay had 19 points and seven assists as Richmond won at Old Dominion 80-53 Tuesday night in a nonconference contest.
Lindsay was 8-of-11 shooting and hit 2 of 3 from 3-point range. Greg Robbins and Darien Brothers each had 14 points and Alonzo Nelson-Ododa nabbed eight rebounds for the Spiders (7-2).
Derrick Williams, who had posted back-to-back double-doubles for Richmond, had eight points and four rebounds Tuesday.
The Monarchs (1-7) were led by Nick Wright's 16 points, while DeShawn Painter posted eight points and pulled down 10 rebounds.
Old Dominion shot 31.7 percent (19 of 60) from the field, a far cry from Richmond's 57.4 percent (31 of 54) showing. The Monarchs committed 15 turnovers leading to 21 points for the Spiders, who conceded just nine points off 12 turnovers.
Richmond opened on a 9-2 run and closed the first half on a 10-0 run to lead 38-19.
