Nebraska has fired men's basketball coach Doc Sadler, CBSSports.com reported Friday.

The university has scheduled a press conference for 3:30 p.m. local time, when it is expected the school will officially announce Sadler's departure.

Sadler, 51, becomes the second Big Ten coach to get the axe Friday following Illinois' decision to part ways with Bruce Weber.

The Huskers, who finished 4-14 in the conference — 12-18 overall — were bounced from the first round of the Big Ten Tournament by Purdue on Thursday.

Sadler is expected to walk away with the more than $3 million remaining on his contract, according to CBSSports.com.
