Report: Kansas point guard Taylor reinstated

Kansas University basketball coach Bill Self announced that point guard Tyshawn Taylor will be reinstated from suspension for Wednesday night's game against Texas A&M, the Wichita Eagle reported.

Taylor was suspended Feb. 21 for an unspecified violation of team rules. Self said Tuesday night that Taylor would not start against the Aggies, but he said if the NCAA Tournament were to start now, Taylor would return to his role as the starting point guard.

Taylor sat out the past two games, which were both easy wins for the 27-2 Jayhawks. The junior from New Jersey leads the team in assists at 4.7 per game, while averaging 8.8 points.

In September 2009, Taylor suffered a dislocated thumb in a fight involving several Kansas football and basketball players.
