TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Florida State finally solved Olivier Hanlan in the second half. And then the Seminoles knocked down some big shots of their own.
Devon Bookert scored 18 points, making 6 of 7 shots from the floor, as Florida State defeated Boston College 69-60 on Wednesday.
Bookert was 4 of 5 from beyond the arc. Florida State made 8 of 12 three-pointers.
''They were high-percentage shots,'' FSU coach Leonard Hamilton said. ''We made three, four, five passes and got uncontested shots. That's what ball movement will do for you against a team that is playing good defense.''
Phil Cofer and Xavier Rathan-Mayes added 13 points each for Florida State (15-12, 7-7 Atlantic Coast Conference), which has gone 6-3 in its last nine games.
The Seminoles needed a second-half surge to overcome a strong performance from BC star Olivier Hanlan.
A junior guard, Hanlan scored 32 points on 12 of 22 shooting for the Eagles, matching his season high that he set just two days earlier in a loss to Miami. But the Eagles (9-16, 1-12), again fell short and lost their seventh straight game.
''Hanlan is as good as it gets,'' Hamilton said. ''He had his way with us in the first half. One of the (assistant) coaches made the comment that he only had nine points in the second half. Whenever you can be happy that a guy scored nine points in the second half, that just tells you how much respect we have for him. He's outstanding.''
The Eagles opened up a 32-27 halftime lead but went just 9 of 22 (40 percent) from the floor in the second half as they played just two days after a double-overtime loss at home to Miami.
Hanlan shot 10 of 15 and had 23 points in the first half. But Florida State made some defensive adjustments in the second half, rotating four players (two guards and two forwards) on him and Hanlan made just 2 of 7 field goals.
Without Hanlan's points in the second half, BC faltered down the stretch and Florida State capitalized.
''They pressured us a little bit,'' BC coach Jim Christian said. ''They kind of took us out of some things that we tried to do. He didn't get as many points in transition in the second half because we didn't get as many stops.''
Bookert and Montay Brandon each had nine second-half points, and Robbie Berwick contributed a pair of 3-pointers. Florida State made 5 of 6 3-pointers in the second half.
''It was big for us,'' Bookert said. ''We needed that momentum push. That really put us over the hump.''
The Seminoles made just eight shots in the first half but finished 21 of 44 (47.7 percent) from the floor. Rathan-Mayes put Florida State ahead for good, 49-48, with a layup with 9:29 to go.
Aaron Brown scored 15 points for Boston College, which shot 23 of 50 (46 percent) from the floor.
Cofer and Brandon also had nine rebounds apiece as Florida State outrebounded BC 32-26.

Boston College: Hanlan made 12 of 22 shots. The rest of the Eagles made 11 of 28 shots.
Florida State: The Seminoles made just 8 of 22 shots in the first half. They also had 10 turnovers.
HOT HANLAN
Hanlan scored 32 points in a double-overtime loss to Miami on Monday. He came intoWednesday's game averaging 18.1 points per game, second in the ACC. But in his last five games, he has scored 28, 30, 16, 32 and 32 points. Hanlan is the only ACC player to have three 30-point games this season.
CLOSING IN ON RECORD
Hamilton now has 234 wins at Florida State, putting him three away from breaking J.K. Kennedy's school record. Kennedy won 236 games from 1949-66. Hamilton is in his 13th season as the Seminoles' coach.
