Quinnipiac 69, Dartmouth 52

Ike Azotam, Deontay Twyman and James Johnson scored 15 points apiece to lead Quinnipiac to a 69-52 win over Dartmouth on Tuesday night.

Azotam was 7 of 7 from the field for the Bobcats (3-1), while Twyman and Johnson were effective from 3-point range. Twyman made 2 of 4 from beyond the arc and Johnson 3 of 7.

Quinnipiac took a 33-27 halftime lead, then the Big Green (1-4) pulled within two points at 34-32 with 15:35 to go on a jumper by David Rufful.

Twyman made two free throws and Dominique Langston hit a 3-pointer to help the Bobcats eventually lead by as many as 20 points.

Quinnipiac scored 21 points off 17 Dartmouth turnovers and outrebounded the Big Green 43-30.

The Bobcats also outshot Dartmouth from the field 43.9 percent (25 of 57) to 36.5 percent (19 of 52).

Rufful led Dartmouth with 11 points and six rebounds and Kirk Crecco also had 11 points.
