Purdue received a technical foul when guard John Hart was on the floor in the Boilermakers' game with Illinois but not on the official roster.
Game officials assessed a technical foul late in the first half. Illini guard Demetri hit both shots to give the Illini a 30-26 lead.
Illinois led 32-28 at the half but fell behind early in the second half on a 3-pointer by Hart. He had seven points early in the second half.
