Providence stretches impressive streak with easy win over Binghamton

LaDontae Henton scored 12 points to lead Providence to a dominating 66-45 win over Binghamton on Monday night.

Tyler Harris had 11 points and Kris Dunn added 10 for Providence (2-0). Carson Desrosiers contributed eight points and had four blocks while pulling down 10 rebounds.

The Friars now have won 37 consecutive non-conference games at home.

Providence (2-0) swarmed Binghamton from the beginning, leading 25-8 midway of the first half. Binghamton (0-2) then mounted a run of its own to finish the first half trailing only 33-29.

However the Friars quickly took control in the second half, not allowing any field goals in the top of that period, while scoring 29 points. Providence led 64-34 with 5:54 remaining in the game.

Dusan Perovic had 13 points and Nick Madray added 10 for the Bearcats.
