Ian Hummer scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Princeton routed Columbia 76-46 for its best Ivy League start since 1999.

A 16-4 run over the final 4:21 of the first half gave the Tigers a 42-26 lead at the break and their lead never dipped below 12 points after that. Princeton (18-4, 6-0) went on an 18-1 run in the final 7:46 to put the game away.

Dan Mavraides added 17 points, and Kareem Maddox and Douglas Davis each had 10 for the Tigers, who have won eight games in a row and 16 of 17 after starting the season 2-3.

Princeton shot 56.9 percent from the field (29 of 51) and outscored Columbia in the paint 46-20.

The Lions made only 4 of 29 field goal attempts in the second half and shot 27.6 percent (16 of 58) for the game.

Noruwa Agho, who scored 16 points, was the only player in double figures for Columbia (12-9, 3-4), which has lost three straight.
