Presbyterian edges Radford at the buzzer in Big South 65-64

BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) DeSean Murray scored 19 points, and his putback at the buzzer lifted 10th-seeded Presbyterian over seventh-seed Radford 65-64 on Thursday in a Big South tournament first round game.

Presbyterian (11-19) will face No. 2-seed Winthrop (21-8) on Friday in the quarterfinals. Murray had seven boards and four steals, while Reggie Dillard had 14 points and seven assists.

Radford's Rashun Davis hit a 3-pointer with 1:08 left to draw Radford to within one at 63-62, and his jumper with seven seconds left put the Highlanders up one. Presbyterian rushed down and Dillard's offering was rejected by Brandon Holcomb. It went straight to Janeil Jenkins, though, and his out-of-control airball was tapped in by Murray at the buzzer. After a quick review, it was upheld.

The Blue Hose trailed by 10 at intermission but chipped away throughout the second half to tie the game at 54 with 7:11 to go.
