Presbyterian 58, Navy 42
Al'Lonzo Coleman scored 22 points, making all nine of his shots, to lead Presbyterian to a 58-42 victory over Navy on Thursday night.
Coleman scored two baskets in the game's first minute and the Blue Hose (6-5) opened a 17-6 lead with 14:06 left in the first half. They never trailed after that, leading 32-20 at halftime and by as many as 18 points, 39-21, in the second half with 14:30 to play.
J.J. Avila led Navy with 21 points, but no other players for the Midshipmen (3-9) scored more than five points. Avila scored nine points in a span of 4:16 to cut Presbyterian's lead to 41-32, but the Blue Hose pulled away down the stretch
Navy, which has lost five in a row, shot 34.8 percent (16 of 46) from the field to Presbyterian's 51.1 percent (23 of 45).
Pierre Miller added 11 points for the Blue Hose.
