Al'Lonzo Coleman and Khalid Mutakabbir combined for 39 points as Presbyterian beat Montreat 103-73 on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Entering the second half with a 48-38 lead, Coleman and Mutakabbir led Presbyterian on a 30-8 run that put the contest out of reach. During the run, Coleman scored 12 points while Mutakabbir hit three shots from 3-point range. Coleman finished with 21 points and Mutakabbir tallied 18.

Presbyterian shot well throughout the second half, making 72.4 percent (21 of 29) of their field goal attempts and hitting seven 3-pointers.

Six Presbyterian players scored in double figures and the Blue Hose bench outscored Montreat's 48-25.

Dustin Harris paced Montreat, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. But the Cavaliers couldn't keep up offensively, shooting 40.8 percent (29 of 71) from the field, 23.1 percent (3 of 13) from beyond the arc. They also committed 14 turnovers.
