Prairie View rolls over Arkansas-Pine Bluff 71-62

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (AP) Montrael Scott scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Prairie View A&M to a 71-62 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff Saturday night.

Louis Munks had 15 points for the Panthers (6-12, 4-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jules Montgomery and Demondre Chapman each added 12.

Tied at 15 at 13:18 in the first period, Prairie View went on a 25-14 run to lead 40-29 at the break.

The Panthers maintained a double-digit lead through most of the second period with the Golden Lions coming as close as five with just over a minute to play. A pair of 3-pointers in the final minute - one by Munks and one by Montgomery - put the game away.

Prairie View was 48 percent from the field overall and 66.7 percent from the line.

Marcel Mosley led the Golden Lions (4-14, 2-4) with 19 points. This was the fourth-straight loss for Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
