Tim Meadows scored 26 points and Darnell Hugee had a double-double to lead Prairie View to a 97-83 overtime win against Alcorn State Thursday night. Prairie View dominated the overtime, 20-6, after the teams ended regulation tied 77-77. Hugee scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds for the Panthers (14-15, 11-6 Southwestern Athletic). Jacoie Shivers scored 14 points off the bench and Dorian McDaniel added 12 for Prairie View. Jonathan Boyd scored 24 points for Alcorn State, including six 3-pointers on an 8-of-18 shooting night. Troy Jackson scored 20 points for the Braves (6-23, 4-12). Gifford Blakely scored 14 bench points and Anthony Ford had 11.
