Brandon Webb scored 27 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as Prairie View raced past Alcorn State 96-77 on Thursday night.
Webb was one of three Panthers (9-21, 6-11 Southwest Athletic) to post double-doubles. Duwan Kornegay had 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Michael Griffin had 13 points and 12 assists. Trant Simpson finished with 22 points for Prairie View.
Shaunvanta Ingram led the Braves (4-23, 4-13) with 17 points, and Ian Francis added 14.
Prairie View fired up 50 shots and made 22 to build a 55-36 lead by halftime, while Alcorn State managed just 26 field-goal attempts, making 13.

With Webb and Kornegay controlling the boards all game, the Panthers outrebounded the Braves 51-33.
