Tim Douglas added 16 points and Kyle Richardson pulled in 10 rebounds for the Vikings, who moved to the middle of the Big Sky Conference pack with the victory.

Northern Colorado (16-11, 10-8) led Portland State 37-32 at the half, needing a win to remain locked in second place with North Dakota with just two games remaining in the season.

But Portland State (14-13, 9-9) had other plans for the second period and jumped out on a 16-5 run to start the half, taking a 50-42 lead with 13:18 to play. The Vikings maintained their advantage and coasted into the waning minutes before shooting 9 of 12 from the penalty line over the final 1:38 of regulation.
