Melvin Jones scored 25 points as Portland State beat Seattle 81-71 Thursday night in the season finale for both teams.
Phil Nelson added 12 points and Chehales Tapscott had 10 points and four blocks for the Vikings (14-16), who snapped a seven-game road losing streak.
Alex Jones hit six 3-pointers, including five in the final four minutes of the game, and finished with 21 points for Seattle (11-20). Sterling Carter and Aaron Broussard added 18 apiece for the Redhawks, who lost their third consecutive game.
Melvin Jones, who played high school basketball in Seattle, made four 3-pointers and came up just two points shy of his career high.
