Portland 69, Saint Louis 60
Luke Sikma scored a career-high 26 points as Portland outlasted Saint Louis 69-60 on Tuesday night.
Sikma hit 11-of-17 shots and Jasonn Hannibal added a career-high 12 points for the Pilots (6-2), who have yet to trail in five home games this season.
Mike McCall scored 14 to lead the Billikens (3-3), who were playing their first road game of the season.
Sikma asserted himself from the opening tap, scoring nine of Portland's first 14 points and 17 before halftime, two shy of his previous career high.
The Pilots led 36-28 at intermission and the Billikens were able to stay within 10 points for most of the second half. Kyle Cassity hit a 3-pointer to cap a 10-1 run that cut the gap to 65-60 with 38 seconds left, but Saint Louis couldn't to get any closer.
