Plomb, Wilson lead Army past Binghamton 75-60

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) Tanner Plomb scored 23 points and Kyle Wilson added 16 and Army defeated Binghamton 75-60 on Sunday.

Wilson made three free throws and Plomb hit a 3-pointer as the Black Knights (2-0) used a 10-1 run to go up 17-7 early and they led 42-30 at the half.

The Bearcats (0-2) scored 6 quick points to open the second half before Wilson hit a 3-pointer. Then Plomb and Wilson combined for 7 straight points for a 52-38 lead and Binghamton only got within 9 for a brief period before Army pulled away.

The Black Knights hit 11 3-pointers, with Plomb going 4 of 9 and Wilson adding three.

Binghamton, which had 19 turnovers, only shot 37 percent, including 3 of 14 3-pointers, and made just 19 of 33 free throws. Everson Davis had 14 points and Willie Rodriguez had 13.
