Pitt senior guard Robinson hoping to end career on high note

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:28 p.m. ET

PITTSBURGH (AP) Pittsburgh senior guard James Robinson isn't trying to put too much significance on the final home game of his college career.

Robinson will make his school-record 130th start on Sunday when the Panthers (19-8, 8-7 ACC) host No. 15 Duke (21-7, 10-5). The soft-spoken Robinson says he believes Pitt can make some noise if it gets into the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers would certainly like to boost their NCAA resume with an upset over the Blue Devils. Pitt is 0-6 against ranked teams this season.

Coach Jamie Dixon praised Robinson for his leadership, saying he believes Robinson can play professionally. Robinson says he's more focused on getting the Panthers back into the tournament after missing it last season.
