Hofstra coach Tom Pecora is leaving for Fordham.
According to multiple sources, the New York native and former
Jay Wright assistant has agreed to a five-year deal, replacing
Derek Whittenburg.
Pecora is set to inform his players of his decision before
Tuesday night’s team banquet.
Pecora has a 155-126 record in nine years at the helm.
Hofstra was 19-15 this season, and 10-8 in Colonial Athletic
Association games.
Pecora took over as coach after spending four years as Jay
Wright’s assistant before Wright left Hostra for Villanova.
Fordham was 2-26 this season, 0-16 in A-10 conference games.
