Pearl: Auburn's Cinmeon Bowers to return against LSU

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:30 p.m. ET

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Auburn's leading rebounder Cinmeon Bowers is set to return from a one-game suspension.

Tigers coach Bruce Pearl says Bowers will play in Tuesday night's game against LSU. He was suspended for Saturday's loss to Oklahoma State ''for conduct detrimental to the team.''

Bowers lost his starting job for seven games earlier in the season for academic reasons. He's averaging 10.7 points and 9.1 rebounds.

Pearl says with Bowers, ''the good still outweighs the bad.''

The 6-foot-7, 250-pound forward is tied with teammate Tyler Harris for third in the Southeastern Conference with eight double-doubles in points and rebounds. Bowers is the SEC's fourth-leading rebounder.
