Oregon starter Bell suspended one game for off-court incident
Oregon forward Jordan Bell was suspended for the Ducks' 95-72 win vs. visiting Washington State on Sunday after he was cited for harassment earlier in the week.
According to a statement released by Oregon, Bell was cited after he interfered with a university officer placing a parking citation on his vehicle. Coach Dana Altman suspended Bell for the one game against the Cougars.
The 6-foot-9 freshman is averaging 5.7 points, seven rebounds and 3.1 blocked shots. He has started 11 games this season.
Bell issued a statement apologizing for his actions. He also said he had apologized personally to the parking officer.
No one was injured in the incident.
