Oops: Moderator confuses Calipari, Pitino after Kentucky beats Louisville

The Kentucky and Louisville rivalry has gone back generations, with the two teams and programs at times very much resembling each other’s success. Friday night’s win by Kentucky, 74-69, in the Sweet 16 was just another storied chapter.

The two coaches – Kentucky’s John Calipari and Louisville’s Rick Pitino – have each been successful and have both won national titles at Kentucky. Calipari’s Wildcats ended the Cardinals’ reign as defending national champs last night.

With all the co-mingling in the Bluegrass rivalry, it’d be easy to get some of the history mixed up – but not the coaches, right?

Well after the win, the moderator for Calipari’s press conference had a little slip up. Check it out:
