Old Dominion beats Morgan State 79-48 for third straight win

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) Aaron Bacote made 8 of 15 shots to score 22 points and led Old Dominion to its third straight victory, 79-48 over Morgan State on Wednesday night.

Denzell Taylor made 6 of 8 shots for 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Nik Biberaj also had 12 points.

The Monarchs used their dominance in the paint to take the easy win, outrebounding the Bears 42-25, including 16 offensive rebounds. Old Dominion outscored Morgan State 51-16 in the paint.

Kyle Thomas scored 15 points, Andrew Horne 12 and Donte Pretlow 10 for the Bears (0-3).

Morgan State started off with a 9-2 lead before the Monarchs scored the next 11 points. The game was tied for the final time at 20 when ODU went on a 26-9 run to end the half. A 12-2 run to open the second half, led by 10 points from Bacote, sealed the outcome.
