Ohio takes down Miami (Ohio) 67-65

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) Antonio Campbell scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds while Gavin Block added 16 points to lead Ohio past Miami (Ohio) 67-65 on Friday night.

Jaaron Simmons' layup with 1:08 to play put Ohio (20-10, 11-7 Mid-American Conference) up 67-65. Eric Washington missed a 3-point attempt for the RedHawks with two seconds left.

Geovonie McKnight led the RedHawks with 22 points and Washington added 10 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals.

Miami (Ohio) shot 43.6 percent from the field but were 3 for 17 (17.6 percent) from behind the 3-point arc.

Ohio led 40-34 at halftime and scored five-quick points after the break to push the lead to nine on Campbell's tip-in basket. Treg Setty later converted a three-point play off a layup to give the Bobcats a 50-38 lead with 15:18 left before Miami (Ohio) got back in it with a 9-0 run.

Chris Bryant put Miami (Ohio) on top 65-64 with a pair of free throws with 1:44 left.
