Ohio 61, Ball St. 60
Nick Kellogg scored five straight points in the final minutes to seal Ohio's 61-60 victory over Ball State on Saturday.
Kellogg's 3-pointer with 2:31 left gave the Bobcats (10-11, 3-4 Mid-American) a 57-55 lead. He then stole the ball and scored 39 seconds later to stretch it to 59-55.
Jarrod Jones scored for Ball State, and Tommy Freeman hit two free throws for Ohio before Randy Davis' 3-pointer at the buzzer cut the final gap to one point.
DeVaughn Washington scored 16 points, Freeman had 10 and Ivo Baltic grabbed 12 rebounds for the Bobcats, who shot just 36.7 percent but made 19 of 21 free throws in winning their second straight.
Jones' 21 points led the Cardinals (13-7, 5-2), who have lost three straight. Jones became the 25th player in school history to surpass 1,000 points for his career, with 1,020.
Davis added 11 points, including three 3-pointers.
