NY prosecutor set to discuss Fine investigation
As a federal investigation continues, a New York district attorney is set to discuss the sex abuse claims against a fired Syracuse University assistant basketball coach.
Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick has been tight-lipped about what he'll say Wednesday morning about the claims against Bernie Fine. His spokesman is also refusing to comment.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Secret Service is investigating accusations that Fine molested three boys, including two former ballboys.
The claims led victims' advocates to call for the resignation of Hall of Fame coach Jim Boeheim. Boeheim at first defended his longtime friend and criticized the accusers. He later apologized and said he should not have questioned their motives.
Fine has denied the claims. He was fired Nov. 27.
