Northwestern St. 82, Centenary 55
Will Pratt scored 17 points and William Mosley had 11 points and a career-high 11 blocked shots to lead Northwestern State to an 82-55 victory over winless Centenary on Tuesday night.
Mosley, 6-foot-7 junior center, came in averaging 4.2 blocks per game and ranking second in the nation.
His 11 rejections equal the performance of 7-footer Ty Walker of Wake Forest, who had 11 on Nov. 23 against Marist.
Mosley has 210 career blocks, breaking the school record of 205 by D'or Fischer from 2000-02.
The Demons (4-3) used an 18-0 spurt to blow the game open, with Gary Stewart and O.J. Evans scoring 10 points apiece in the second half.
After the Demons built a 53-40 cushion, Centenary (0-7) cut the gap to 57-51 with 5:47 left. The Demons then held the Gentlemen scoreless over a 3:19 span to lead 75-51.
Maxx Nakwaasah led Centenary with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
