John Shurna scored a game-high 24 points to lead Northwestern to a 74-60 victory over Michigan on Tuesday night.

Shurna also had eight rebounds. He made four 3-pointers and went 8 of 14 from the field as the Wildcats (12-5, 3-4 Big Ten) claimed their third win in four starts.

Center Luka Mirkovic had 13 points and eight rebounds while guard Michael Thompson added 10 for Northwestern.

Michigan (11-8, 1-5) suffered its fifth straight loss. Stu Douglass scored 17 points off the bench while Darius Morris added 16 for the Wolverines.

Northwestern, now 8-1 at home, never trailed. With the score 10-10, Shurna scored eight straight points, including back-to-back 3-pointers.
