Jonathan Lee scored 24 points, including the first two points of a game-winning run, to lead Northeastern over Southern Illinois 64-57 on Saturday.

With the game tied at 51, Lee hit a layup with 5:11 to play to spark a 13-6 Huskies' spurt the rest of the way.

Southern Illinois committed three turnovers, leading to six points by Northeastern during the run.

The Huskies (2-1) scored 20 points off 12 turnovers, and outscored the Salukis 26-18 in the paint.

Kauri Black added 13 points and six rebounds for Northeastern, which shot 51.2 percent from the field (22 of 43).

Mamadou Seck led the Salukis (0-3) with 17 points, but he fouled out with 4:07 remaining and Southern Illinois down 55-53.

Southern Illinois, which trailed 31-28, was 0 for 7 from 3-point range in the second half, while the Huskies made 10 of 16 baskets (62.5 percent).
