Dominique Johnson tied a career-high 21 points to help North Texas extend its home winning streak to 17 games with an 83-64 victory over Arkansas State on Saturday night.
The Mean Green (16-4, 5-2 Sun Belt) began the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back. They led 46-24 at halftime after Johnson hit a 35-foot shot at the buzzer.
Johnson shot 5 for 5 from 3-point range and 7 for 8 from the field.
Rashad Allison scored 12 points to lead the Red Wolves (10-12, 4-4) while Malcoln Kirkland added 10.

George Odufuwa scored 14 points and tied his season-high of 16 rebounds for North Texas. Tristan Thompson added 16 points and Josh White 15 points for the Mean Green.
