North Carolina Central ties points record in 123-57 win

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Raasean Davis scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, Randy Miller Jr. scored a career-high 20 points with four 3-pointers, and North Carolina Central tied a school points record in beating Warren Wilson College 123-57 on Sunday for its first win of the season.

Zacarry Douglas scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Eagles (1-3), who never trailed, shot 63 percent and made 17 of 28 3-pointers (61 percent).

Reggie Gardner Jr. scored 17 points with five 3s, Julian Walters added 13 points and John Guerra had 10.

Davis' tip-in capped a 12-5 opening run and the Eagles led 51-30 at halftime.

Larry McKnight Jr.'s layup with 7:20 to play put the Eagles over the century mark.

Saadiq Johnson scored 10 points for the Owls, who play in the newly formed Eastern Metro Athletic Conference of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
