CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) James Michael McAdoo scored 22 points to help North Carolina beat Clemson 80-61 on Sunday, keeping the Tigers winless all-time in Chapel Hill.

Marcus Paige added 15 points for the Tar Heels (12-7, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) in a dominating performance. North Carolina played with more energy and aggressiveness than during its recent struggles, shooting 55 percent for the game and turning a 37-21 halftime lead into a 31-point margin by midway through the second half.

With the win, North Carolina improved to 57-0 all-time against Clemson (13-6, 4-3) at home, an NCAA record for the longest home winning streak against one opponent. The Tar Heels have also won 16 of 17 meetings overall.

K.J. McDaniels had 13 points for the Tigers, who shot 34 percent and flirted with their all-time worst shooting percentage under fourth-year coach Brad Brownell before hitting some shots late with the outcome decided.
